North Carolina Secretary of Commerce Machelle Baker Sanders joined Eva Garland Consulting’s team and guests to commemorate the state’s cutting-edge advancements in research and development, recognizing the critical role that EGC plays in supporting the businesses that drive the state’s economic growth. The event, which took place at The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, featured a festive atmosphere which showcased the innovative technologies of EGC’s clients and North Carolina’s long history of innovation.
“The federal SBIR [Small Business Innovation Research] and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) funding for North Carolina companies has grown six times faster than the U.S. average since 2000, now at seated national performance and ranking 14th among states. Twenty years ago, North Carolina ranked 34th. We know that Eva Garland Consulting has played a significant role in this improvement, helping hundreds of NC companies apply for and manage SBIR and STTR funding,” said Secretary Sanders, during her keynote speech.
