Eva Garland Consulting, LLC (EGC) has received a 2024 Growth Accelerator Fund Competition (GAFC) award from the Small Business Administration (SBA), in recognition of the firm’s impactful contributions toward increasing equitable access to resources for entrepreneurs from underrepresented groups. With the prize, EGC will develop a pilot program to increase the representation of women in the National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs.
Female entrepreneurs who are selected into the program will receive EGC’s bestselling book, “Winning SBIR/STTR Grants: A Ten-Week Plan for Preparing Your NSF Phase I Application”; mentoring from a successful female NSF SBIR/STTR awardee; and coaching from an EGC Scientific Grants Expert. The online portal for female entrepreneurs to apply for the program will open in early May 2024 and will be available at SBIRLand.com, a website developed by EGC with a prior GAFC award.
