The National Cancer Institute Small Business Innovation Research Development Center (NCI SBIR) has awarded Eva Garland Consulting, LLC (EGC) a contract in the total amount of $807,136.00 to lead the NCI SBIR’s newly established SBIR / Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Training and Entrepreneurship Program (STEP). Through this new program, NCI aims to improve access to SBIR/STTR funding by 1) enabling small businesses to better define value proposition through customer discovery, 2) successfully submit competitive applications to NCI SBIR/STTR, and 3) prepare resubmissions that are responsive to reviewers’ critiques.
EGC previously led the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Applicant Assistance Program (AAP) established by the NCI SBIR in 2019 to support new applicants to the NIH SBIR/STTR program. NCI STEP builds upon AAP by adding entrepreneurship and commercialization training support to the grant proposal preparation assistance.
